This week’s Premiership fixtures feature largely games that should be one sided affairs and some of the slightly more unusual betting markets could produce the best bets in England’s best matches this week.

Arguably the best bets in this week’s matches could come in the game between Aston Villa and Everton, two sides who are undoubtedly underperforming this season. Both teams are in the bottom half of the table at the moment and the main reason why they aren’t sitting any higher in the Premiership is their goalscoring abilities. Aston Villa have failed to score in six of their last nine league games whilst Everton have either failed to score or scored just once in each of their last seven league matches. This game could easily end up 0-0 at 17/2 but under 2.5 goals at odds of 8/13 and under 1.5 goals at 9/4 look the best bets in this game.

Chelsea take on Sunderland at Stamford Bridge on Saturday afternoon in what could be a tough match against Martin O’Neill’s in form Black Cats. Since O’Neill took over no team has picked up more points than Sunderland and they have scored eleven goals in six league games under their new manager, five less than they had scored in their previous fourteen Premiership matches. Only eleven teams have a worse defensive record than Chelsea who have conceded more than Sunderland this season and Sunderland look highly likely to score, as do Chelsea who have scored the most goals outside of the top three this season. Both teams to score in this match can be backed at 21/20 at the time of writing, this bet could easily have paid out by half time.

One bet that might just see you get your stake back is Dimitar Berbatov to score anytime against Bolton, but the risk on the bet seems pretty low. If Berbatov doesn’t play in this match the goalscorer bets on the player are refunded. If he does play then he looks highly likely to score against the worst defence in the country. Berbatov has five goals in his last two home games and last season he scored sixteen goals at home from twelve starts and two sub appearances. Berbatov is 10/11 to score against Bolton and that looks a good bet, hopefully he’ll start.
